It will feature fun and excitement for the whole family, including sports clinics, and other exercise activities such as volleyball, yoga, Zumba; free health screenings and health education; talent shows; prize drawings; healthy snacks, and a farm market where visitors can purchase fresh produce. Food, music, live entertainment, and giveaways will be part of the day’s activities and attractions.
Emma Lopez, Health Educator for the City of Vineland Health Department, described ¡Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® as a “super Park Hop” where a month’s worth of family fun and healthy activities all happen on one day. “¡Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® is about helping all of us live our lives to the fullest. All people, from young to old, can dance, learn a new activity, and have fun with family and friends.”
Live Healthy Vineland has been instrumental in recruiting area fitness groups and dance companies and screening vendors to ensure a healthy, fun and meaningful experience for all ages. The local farmers from Live Healthy Vineland’s Farm to Pantry program will be selling their produce and explaining the benefits of gardening and planting vegetables.
